Charlotte Li

I am a PhD student in Northwestern University's Technology and Social Behavior program, and my research interests include human computer interaction, journalism, and language. With my research, I aim to improve how people derive insights from complex, raw data and to make mass communication of information more accessible and equitable.

Before starting my PhD at NU, I worked as a visual and data journalist at National Geographic and NBC News. I finished my bachelor’s degree in computer science and math at Columbia University in 2022.

I have experience in data analysis, digital storytelling, data visualization and natural language processing. You can view my art here. You can contact me at charlotte.li@u.northwestern.edu.
